Yesterday, Director Paul Scully and I had the pleasure of presenting an update on all things CMCA and rvSafe to a fantastic group of members attending this year’s tropical Christmas in July event. This annual gathering of CMCA members is hosted by the Far North Nomads and is held at Davies Park in Mareeba, Qld. I was aware that organisers were a little concerned about numbers due to the cancellation of the Dam Fine Rally in Townsville; however, they need not to worry, there has been a great turn out. The actual number of RVs in the Mareeba area was once again astonishing, with a large contingent of the numbers staying out at the Rodeo Grounds. I must extend a big congratulations to the event team, led by Des and Maureen Lane and supported by Milly Virtue and Barry Dick, as well as the many volunteers who jumped on board to assist. Cooperation like this makes the load on others much lighter.
As members wander back down south after the winter in northern Queensland, why not call into the 36th National Rally which will be held in Dalby. The rally will take place from the 8 – 14 October in this town within the Western Downs region of Queensland. I am pleased to advise that 95% of planning has been finalised and it is sure to be a fun filled event. It’s not too late to register for the event. Members can register online at: https://members.cmca.net.au/Event/EventRegistration
Wherever you are around this fabulous country of ours, make sure you drive safely
