Visit Gulgong and discover a small quaint town steeped in mining history. Nestled in the Mudgee wine region of NSW, this colonial goldmining town offers unique streetscapes with approximately 130 National Trust-listed heritage buildings for visitors to admire.
For RV travellers passing through Gulgong or looking to explore the surrounding area, parking is available at Gulgong Showground for up to two weeks. Unpowered sites are available for a rate of $12, and powered sites are available for a rate of $16. Both rates include access to showers, toilets, bins, barbecues and water, and pets on leads are permitted. A free dump point is located at 17 Saleyards Lane.
The town celebrates Australian writer and bush poet Henry Lawson with their establishment of the Henry Lawson Centre and the annual Henry Lawson Festival. There’s also plenty to see and do in the surrounding region. Visitors are encouraged to sample wines at one of the many acclaimed wineries and explore the magnificent Goulburn River National Park.
