Our latest RV Friendly Town is Warragamba, NSW!
Located on the eastern edge of the Blue Mountains, Warragamba is a one-and-a-half-hour drive west of Sydney. The name Warragamba comes from the Aboriginal words Warra and Gamba, meaning water running over rocks. This town is home to Warragamba Dam, the source of Sydney's water supply.
For RV travellers passing through this small town, short term parking is available at the Warragamba Recreation Reserve. There is no cost for parking and access to bins, toilets, barbecue and water is available. Vehicles must be self-contained, and pets are not permitted at this site.
Warragamba Dam is the largest concrete dam in Australia and one of the largest domestic water supply dams in the world. The dam grounds are open to the public and offer a visitor centre, Water for Life exhibition, viewing platforms and a number of visitor facilities.
