A number of our members have reported mechanical problems resulting from 'dirty' diesel.

Travellers should be aware that this issue exists and take some precautions to help avoid these difficulties.

Try to purchase fuel from an outlet with a high throughput, possibly truck stops or larger distributors.

We'd also advise carrying a spare fuel filter, as this may be easily replaced  (in some instances) roadside.
