Queensland Borders - for Victorian Residents

We are pleased to advise members that CMCA has contacted the Queensland Government seeking further advice on the reopening of Queensland’s borders and how this will affect Victorian residents.

It was made clear that from 12noon 10 July 2020, any person who has not spent time in any local government area within the state of Victoria (within the last 14 days) is permitted to enter Queensland as long as they have a border entry card and declare that they have in fact not spent time in any Victorian local government area (within the last 14 days).

This means, that any Victorian resident that has recently been travelling in NSW or similar, and has not been in any local government area within Victoria within the last two weeks, may travel into Queensland.

It must be noted that residents from any other states or territories are only permitted to enter Queensland as long as they too have not spent time in any local government area in Victoria within the last 14 days.

This information was current as at 10am on Thursday 2 July 2020.
