We wish to advise members that the CMCA Board of Directors held a special board meeting this morning to discuss several matters and has made the decision to postpone the 35th National Rally until 2022. The decision was reached due to the ongoing spread of COVID-19 and the border closures between states and territories. It is unfortunate that this has had to occur again, however Chairman Kim Templeton has stated “the decision had to be made for the greater good of members, the Club and the people of Bingara. We hope members understand the predicament we are all in, Australia wide.” Refunds will be issued to members that have already registered for the rally and will commence when NHQ staff return to the office after lockdown.
Therefore, with the rally postponed, the 21st Annual General Meeting is now planned to be held at Bundaberg (Qld) on Wednesday 6 October 2021. All details including meeting notice, agenda, and proposed motions, will be released with the September edition of The Wanderer.
Further details will also be released in due course. Additional information is available from Company Secretary Richard Barwick on his email at richardbarwick@cmca.net.au.
On behalf of the Board, we would like to thank all who had registered to attend and were looking forward to another great rally. We would also like to thank the Rally Team for the hard work they had already put into the event. Their time and effort do not go unnoticed, and hopefully we will be able to return to Bingara next year.
