Our latest RV Friendly Town is Tatura, Vic! Next to Shepparton, Tatura is the second largest town in municipality of Great Shepparton. With a population of 5000, the town boasts a bustling main street with a diverse range of businesses and services available. RV travellers are well-accommodated with 48-hour parking available at the Douglas Street Car Park. The allocated parking area is accessible via the laneway at 71 Park Street. Parking is only available for people travelling in self-contained vehicles. A dump point and potable water can be located at Tatura Park on Hastie Street. With seven Prisoner of War Camps having operated around Tatura during World War II, the German War Cemetery and one of Australia's most significant war time museums are located here, depicting cultural history through photographs, memorabilia, artefacts, intelligence reports and newspaper articles. The town also host many events throughout the year, with the largest and most prestigious being International Dairy Week – the southern hemisphere’s largest dairy show which is held in January each year.
