As most members are aware, National Headquarters is included in the lockdown area within the Hunter and therefore the office is now closed. Staff are working remotely, and the Club will continue to operate as normal. Our phone lines and emails will not be interrupted during this time - your patience is appreciated throughout this adjustment. At this stage, the lockdown is scheduled to end at 12:01 on Friday 13 August, however we will wait until the NSW Government confirms this decision closer to the date. Please stay safe.
With the extenuating lockdowns across the eastern seaboard states, on Thursday the Board of Directors made the decision to postpone the 35th National Rally until 2022. This decision was not taken lightly and was done in the best interest of members, the Club and the community of Bingara. A large percentage of the rally was already organised, and this will continue onto next year’s event. I would like to extend a big thank you to Rally Manager Jo Tremain and Rally Secretary Michael Gold, as well as the volunteers, for agreeing to continue with this rally next year. Refunds will commence once the office reopens. The AGM has now been rescheduled and is to be held on Wednesday 6 October 2021 at the Bundaberg Recreation Precinct, Bundaberg, Qld. More details will be provided shortly.
Voting is now open for the 2021 Board of Directors Election and, for those eligible members who have an email address, please check your inbox for the provided link to vote online (please check spam if you have not received it). For members that do not have an electronic address, you will receive the voting papers via The Wanderer or direct post. Voting closes at 12 noon on Friday 10 September 2021.
Stay safe and please abide by the directions given by Health and Government officials in regard to the various lockdowns.
