We are excited to announce that the app version of GeoWiki X will be released tonight and available as an app update across the next few days (please keep in mind that the update will become available at different times depending on your device). Now with over 200,000 points of interest, GeoWiki X allows members to plan their next trip with ease. This exciting new platform identifies more campgrounds, caravan parks, events, national parks, dump points, and other facilities and services than ever before.

Featuring a brand-new user-friendly interface and an improved 3D mapping system, GeoWiki X simplifies time on the road. Some of the great new features are a superior detailed mapping system including clustering, integrated trip planner with true routing and driving distances, enhanced user interface with drag and drop, swipe left to delete and pull to refresh capability. GeoWiki X will also auto sync information every seven days or you have the option to manually sync your device. If you are looking for something nearby, the new Near Me feature will easily identify points of interests close by. 

The update will become available over the next few days and will be compatible with Android devices running Android 5 and above and Apple devices running IOS 9 and above. Members who have devices running earlier software will still be able to use the existing GeoWiki for the time being. Please be aware that updates will continue to be released every few weeks as we roll out additional and exciting features. Members will be prompted by their Google Play Store or Apple App Store when these are available. Members who have automatic updates activated, no action will be required. 

We would like to remind members that GeoWiki X features a superior Hema Lite mapping system and members wishing to use the app offline will be required to download offline maps again as the existing maps will no longer be available – maps do not need to be purchased. Additionally, for those members who have created a Favourites list or a Trip Plan in the existing GeoWiki, unfortunately these will not be migrated straight away. We will, however, be performing a data transfer so these features can be accessed in the future.
