CEO Weekly Message

In this time of uncertainty, CMCA is trying its best to give members the most factual and up-to-date information available. We are providing members with at least two statements each week in relation to RV travel and the operations of the Club. During this process, we have had to take significant steps to comply with the Government and health authorities advice and restrictions - which I understand affects members in different ways. It is hard not to become emotional during this time, especially if you have been directly affected. We have taken on the responsibility of approaching Federal and State Government seeking advice on what full-time RV travellers with no fixed address should do. Especially with the closure of most national and state parks, as well as the many campgrounds and caravan parks that are expected to close this weekend. We have been advised that a number of caravan parks remain open for travellers who are on the road full-time. If you have a fixed residential address, the Government has requested that you head home as soon as possible. As far as we are aware, no public dump points have been closed – and the majority having access to potable water. We need everyone to stay safe during this time as COVID-19 does not discriminate. If you have any symptoms, been overseas or been in contact with someone who has tested positive, please do the right thing and self-isolate for 14 days. For all relevant up-to-date information, do not rely on second hand information via social media and instead use relevant Government websites. We want all members to remain safe and healthy during this time.
