This week, I would like to offer a further update on Far North Queensland and the cancellation of the Dam Fine Rally earlier this week. Unfortunately, when the Government gives a direction in response to managing COVID-19, it is mandatory that everyone complies. So, when it was announced that there was to be a three-day lockdown in Townsville, we were required to cancel the Dam Fine Rally at short notice. I acknowledge that this was a huge disappointment; not just for the members who were registered to attend, but of course the organisers (the Tropical Coast Wanderers) as so much hard work had already gone into the event. I would like to take this opportunity to thank everyone, especially the Chapter, for their outstanding response and understanding. At this stage, the Christmas in July event in Mareeba, Qld is still going ahead as there are no current issues in that region.

Speaking of Far North Queensland, much of the coastline, from Townsville to Cairns, is being inundated with rain. This has unfortunately forced the closure of our two CMCA RV Parks in Innisfail and Ingham. We hope this is temporary and will continue to provide further updates via social media and our website.
