Change of date and venue
Due to the effects of COVID-19 and changing environments, the meeting will no longer take place in Canberra, ACT. These circumstances continue to change very quickly, and it has been decided that it is more viable to hold the AGM in Bundaberg, Qld. The meeting will now take place on Wednesday 30 September 2020 at the Bundaberg Recreational Precinct - the venue of the National Rally in 2017. We apologise for any inconvenience and confusion this may cause; however, Queensland is currently seeing less outbreaks of COVID-19 and is more accommodating regarding COVID-19 restrictions. We anticipate that the number of members travelling across Queensland and residing within the Bundaberg region will result in at least 200 full members attending the meeting (as per the constitution, we require 200 full members to be present for the meeting to take place).
Motions
Under clause 22.5 of the Club's constitution, members wishing to bring business before the 20th Annual General Meeting are to give notice of that business in writing. Written notice should be forwarded to NHQ, marked for the attention of the Company Secretary, and is to arrive no later than 12 noon Friday 31 July 2020. A statutory meeting presenting all reports will take place if no business is brought before the AGM. We will also host a barbecue for members at the conclusion.
Pre-register for the AGM
Members will be required to pre-register their attendance. Members will also be able to book sites at the precinct ($19pvpn unpowered, $25pvpn powered - we are negotiating better prices) during this process if required. NHQ will enable online pre-registrations shortly, and members will be advised once the platform is available.
