Located 280 kilometres north-west of the state capital, Brisbane, Proston is a small country town with a population of just 500 people. Proston is a small, friendly country town that makes for a great stopover when travelling the region. 

Proston District Golf Club offers RV travellers a fantastic accommodation option. There is no cost to stay at their site; however, donations to the club are encouraged. Visitors can negotiate their length of stay and access to toilets and showers is available.  

For a refreshing drink, look no further than the golf club itself. The bar is open most days from 5pm. If you’re looking to explore the area, a visit to Sidcup Castle is a must. This 17-room building has become something of a local landmark and is full of unusual local memorabilia.
