CEO Weekly Message

With reports of Cyclone Oma heading inland towards parts of New South Wales and Queensland, we advise anyone in those areas to be cautious and stay safe during this time. With severe weather warnings in place, it is predicted that these areas will suffer heavy rainfall, strong winds and king tides. Severe weather will cause havoc for all, especially those staying in RVs. If you are in an RV, please ensure you are parked in a protected area. This will help minimise the risk of damage caused by the severe elements of the cyclone.

In Far North Queensland, clean-up in Townsville and surrounding areas, from the heavy rainfall and flooding, continues. Remember, if you would like to assist these affected communities, there are a number of organisations that rely on volunteer support. Blaze Aid and Rural Aid are two organisations that rely on people donating their time and skills to provide assistance to people in need. Local councils will also be able to offer advice and further information on how to support their communities during this time.

Safe travelling,

Richard
