On Wednesday, Cairns Regional Council unanimously resolved to enter into a management agreement granting CMCA the right to operate the Greenpatch Campground in Gordonvale, North Queensland.

This picturesque campground offers a convenient and welcoming stop for all travellers in motorhomes, caravans, campervans, and RVs etc. Greenpatch Campground is a non-self-contained park that offers facilities including toilets and coin-operated showers. 

Whether you are passing through or planning an extended stay, you will find everything you need to enjoy your visit and the stunning natural surroundings of Gordonvale.

What to Expect at Greenpatch Campground:

•    Convenient amenities: The campground provides essential facilities for RV travellers (no power is available).

•    Scenic location: Nestled between a creek and a river on the southern side of Gordonvale, Greenpatch Campground offers a peaceful setting while providing easy access to the vibrant local community and regional attractions.

•    Suitable for all RV types: Whether you are travelling in a self-contained or non-self-contained vehicle, the campground welcomes you.

With Greenpatch Campground joining the CMCA RV Park Network, we are excited to enhance the RV experience for both members and visitors. Stay tuned for more updates as we continue improving our park network for your comfort and enjoyment.

Subject to final agreement, risk assessment, and approvals, Greenpatch Campground is expected to open around 1 May 2025. We are currently seeking custodians to manage this facility from May through to November, as Greenpatch Campground, like our other parks in Northern Queensland, will operate seasonally.
