This week’s message comes a day early and will come as a shock to many, as I advise the membership of a change in the position of Chairman of the CMCA Board of Directors. At the completion of today’s Board meeting, Kim advised of her intention to step down from her position as Chairman effective immediately.
Kim has made this decision due to personal and family reasons, just four months before she was expected to retire from the role. Kim went on to say that she appreciates
the membership’s understanding in respecting both her and the family’s privacy in this matter.
Kim said, “it has been both an honour and a pleasure to serve as your Chairman for nearly four years, and it has seen both good and not so good times”.
The new Chairman has been appointed and will be Nelson Crawshaw N98597 who will fill the role until the new Board meets after the AGM in October.
On behalf of the members, management, and staff, I would like to extend a big thank you to Kim and husband Ross for their outstanding commitment in serving the membership. Kim still looks forward to fulfilling her commitment as a Director until the completion of the AGM in Dalby.
Safe travelling
Richard Barwick
