Once again, I am delighted to take the opportunity to recognise and celebrate the incredible contribution of our dedicated volunteers.
Most recently, at the Christmas in July Rally held in Far North Queensland, our volunteers were the driving force behind a successful event. Their efforts, often behind the scenes, ensure that gatherings like this run smoothly and bring joy to so many.
If you are still in Far North Queensland, I encourage you to attend the Four Chapter Quad meet to be held at Tully Caravan Park, hosted by the Far North Nomads. This event will run from 15 – 17 August.
Looking ahead to the National Rally in Orange, taking place from 6–12 October, all volunteer positions have been filled, and we extend a big thank you to everyone who has put their hand up to help. A waitlist is now in place, and we encourage members who are still interested in volunteering to join this list, as cancellations and changes can occur in the lead-up to the event. If you would like to be placed on the waitlist or have any questions about volunteering at the rally, please contact the Volunteer Coordinator via email at volunteers1986@gmail.com.
If you are interested in volunteering with the Club, there are many ways to get involved. Our members contribute their time and energy across a wide range of areas, including:
• National and regional Rallies
• Chapters and Special Interest Groups (SIGs)
• CMCA Parks (as custodians and liaisons)
• The National Member Services Team
• State Representatives and the Board of Directors
• Media watch, online moderation, and many other support roles.
The Club simply could not function at the level it does without the generous support of these members. Whether front and centre or working quietly in the background, our volunteers are the backbone of CMCA, and we are truly grateful for all that they do.
Safe travelling
Richard
