New RV Friendly Town

Our latest RV Friendly Town is Tara, Qld!

Tara is located in the Western Downs Region, approximately 300 kilometres west of Brisbane. The town has lovingly preserved its pioneering history in its museums and celebrates its multiculturalism with the biennial Tara Festival of Culture and Camel Races. From an internationally renowned botanical garden to an Anzac Memorial Museum, Tara and its surrounds are a treat for the senses.

Make the most of the town and the surrounding region by making the most of the RV parking area at Tara Lagoon. With a maximum stay of up to 14 nights, Tara Lagoon gives RV travellers the perfect opportunity to really explore all that Tara and the Western Downs Region has to offer. Unpowered sites are available for $5.30 per vehicle for the first night (second and third night free), and powered sites are available for $10.60 per vehicle for the first night (second and third night free). Showers and toilets are available, as well as a dump point. Pets on leads are permitted.

Located on the edge of town, Tara Lagoon is part of the Undulla Creek and is home to tranquil walking tracks and garden bicycle tracks and has ample opportunities to enjoy impressive native parrots and birdlife. Visitors will find peace in this special part of the Western Downs.
