I would like to remind members that nominations for the position on the Board of Director close with Returning Officer Michelle Wilson at 12 noon next Friday 2 June 2023. Interested members are welcome to contact myself or any of the sitting Directors for further information on what is required.

For those who have had their June edition of The Wanderer delivered or have already read it online, you will see that I mention two big changes with two of our leading member benefits. As of July’s edition of The Wanderer, the magazine will be published by Madventure; we believe this change will bring great opportunities for the magazine. Secondly, 24/7 Roadside Assist will be the Club’s new roadside assistance provider. We are excited about developing both products for the membership to ensure that they can meet the needs of the majority of members.

There is also another important change, which has been previously advised, that will take place on 1 July 2023. Membership fees will be increasing for first time since the implementation of GST in 2000 (23 years ago). Before this, the last membership fee increase that was driven by the members was back in 1998 (25 years ago). The new fee structure is as follows:

New Member - Ordinary             $85.00 (includes a one-off joining fee)

New Member - Associate           $80.00 (includes a one-off joining fee)

Renewal - Ordinary                      $60.00

Renewal - Associate                     $55.00

While multiple year memberships are no longer available, an easier method of recurring payments will become available. We will advise members of further details soon.

One last thing, members who are subscribed to our email notifications received an email this afternoon containing a link to our Member Satisfaction Survey. I strongly encourage members to take the time to complete this survey as the information we receive will be beneficial for the Club moving forward.
