NorthConnex is a nine kilometre twin tunnel linking the M1 Pacific Motorway at Wahroonga to the Hills M2 Motorway at West Pennant Hills in Sydney’s north and is set to open early hours Saturday 31 October. The new tunnel and Pennant Hills Road regulations will allow motorists to travel from Newcastle to Melbourne without a single set of traffic lights, reducing travel times for motorists and delivering state and national freight efficiencies. Please note, those in recreational vehicles, including cars towing caravans, camper trailers and boats, will have the choice to use either NorthConnex or Pennant Hills Road with no risk of an infringement.
