Our latest RV Friendly Town is Goondiwindi, Qld!

Known for its tree lined streets, colourful petunia garden beds and stunning Jacaranda’s in the spring, Goondiwindi is a town and locality in the Goondiwindi Region of Queensland. The town sits on the banks of the Macintyre River – which marks the New South Wales and Queensland boarder. The river is showcased by a stunning 4km river walk with exercise equipment and sculptures along the trail.

Goondiwindi Showgrounds offers parking for up to one week – which suits RV travellers looking to thoroughly explore the region. Unpowered sites are available for a rate of $15 per vehicle per night, and powered sites are available for $25 per vehicle per night. Showers and toilets are available for use, and pets on leads are permitted. A dump point and potable water can be sourced at Redmond Park.

There is something for all ages in Goondiwindi and enough to keep visitors occupied for the duration of their stay. The Natural Heritage and Water Park, Goondiwindi Botanic Garden and Bendidee National Park are just some of the attractions available. Additionally, the Gourmet in Gundy is a local food festival that attracts attendees each September. This event celebrates the best food and wine of the region.
