Summary

Starting at Paronella Park, this safari will take you through spectacular North Queensland and the Northern Territory, ending at Litchfield National Park. This safari will have you mesmerised by the incredible Paronella Park, exploring the amazing geological wonder of the Undara Lava Tubes, enjoying a 4WD bus tour at Cobbold Gorge, and soaking in the hot springs at Talaroo. Spot a crocodile in Karumba or even in Kakadu National Park and enjoy a full day 4WD tour and sunset Yellow Water Cruise admiring bird life and spotting crocodiles. Visit the historic Mataranka Homestead, stay at some well-known iconic pubs including Daly Waters and enjoy so much more on this 27-day tour of the Top End.

Itinerary


Day 1
Meet at Paronella Park and enjoy a dinner together –Paronella Park was built when a man had a dream of building his castle beside Mena Creek Falls. Discover bridges, tunnel and amazing a range of tropical plants
Day 2
Today we will enjoy a morning guided tour of Paronella Park before we head off to Pinnarendi Station where we will gather for woodfired pizza in the afternoon
Day 3We head off to Undara staying for 2 nights, powered sites, happy hour and campfire if permitted
Day 4Enjoy a guided tour of the Lava Caves where you can enjoy this natural geological wonder
Day 5Travel to Talaroo where we will stay 1 night. Enjoy a hot springs dicovery tour today (included), free time for the rest of the day, why not book a private soak in a tub, ride your bike through the trails, or walk down to the river.
Day 6
Travel to Forsayth where we will stay 2 nights.
Day 7
Be collected by coach and enjoy a day at Cobbold Gorge where you will go on a walk and cruise up the Gorge, lunch is also included (drinks not included)
Day 8
Travel to Croydon and stay in a free camp overnight, no power, happy hour
Day 9Travel to Karumba and stay 2 nights in Karumba Gulf Country Caravan Park, powered sites
Day 10Free time today. Why not book a sunset crocodile tour while you are here
Day 11
Travel to iconic Burke & Wills Roadhouse and stay one night, power
Day 12
Travel to Julia Creek staying 2 nights

Day 14
Travel to Mount Isa and stay for two nights, free time to stock up and relax
Day 15
Enjoy a free day in Mount Isa. Here you can check out the outback at Isa Centre, the underground hospital
Day 16
Travel the Barkly Highway staying at Avon Downs free camp for the night (no facilities, happy hour and campfire if permitted)
Day 17
Travel to Three Ways Roadhouse for the night (power, toilets and showers)
Day 18
Today we travel to iconic Daly Waters Pub and enjoy a dinner and show that evening (power, toilet and shower facilities)
Day 19
We travel to Mataranka Homestead and stay for one night. The film We of the Never Never was filmed here and remnants of the old homestead remain. The group can enjoy a soak in the hot springs.  (powered site, toilet and shower facilities)
Day 20Travel to Katherine and stay two nights at the Katherine Holiday Park
Day 21
Free day to stock up, relax and explore
Day 22
We travel to Kakadu National Park and stay at Cooinda Campground for three nights (powered site, toilet and shower facilities). The group will enjoy dinner this evening (dinner included)
Day 23Enjoy a sunset cruise on the Yellow Water Cruise, enjoy spotting birdlife & crocodiles
Day 24This morning we experience the sunrise Yellow Water Cruise followed by breakfast (included)
Day 25We travel to our last stay at Litchfield Tourist Park, right on the doorstep of Litchfield National Park. We will enjoy a farewell dinner (included)
Day 26We farewell our new friends and head on our own travels.
